Sir Dick is the most popular player on tour and is revered by crowds wherever he travels. Universally known as The Peoples Prince, he brings an element of danger to the course with his quick action swing and socially intemperate drinking.
The winner of the 2000 Match Play Championship, he recently stood down as ESG&EC handicapper although he still holds the potentially lucrative patent for the Dickworth-Lewis handicapping system.

A former neighbour and great fan of Don Lane, the popular entertainer and multiple Logie winner, Funk organised - almost posthumously as it turned out - the successful "Lay the Cable" July 2004 tour to Melbourne.
The tour visited many of Don's favourite places in the southern capital including the GTV9 studios, a discreet Richmond factory that custom built Don's famous glass top tables, and his regular restaurant, The Exploding Vindaloo Firecracker.
The gregarious Funk was the winner of the 2001 Match Play Championship. Despite his good match play form, his manager, Attila, has so far resisted all attempts by tournament organisers keen to have him play the World Series of Golf.

He also successfully takes on the high-pressure and thankless role of the tournament's greyhound and trotting expert and has recently been appointed chief procurement and legal officer for the club's Smoke Da greyhound racing syndicate.
