Davidson, yet another of the current members who teed off in both inaugural majors, is the current ESG&EC President.

President Love III (Ret.) had an outstanding start to his career winning three Match Play Championships in his first 6 years (1989, 1991 and 1994).  He finally added a 4th major to his bulging trophy case with another Match Play win in 2004.

One of 4 players to reach the career milestone of 40 major tournaments, his playing record was only slightly tarnished when he was hospitalised the week before the 1995 World Series of Golf and was unable to swing a club.  He has two brothers-in-law on tour, Soldier Montgomerie and Shigeki Moroneyama.

A talented sportsman who excelled at football as well as golf.

In 2004 he reached the career milestone of 300 games with the Balmain Aussie Rules team.  A large crowd turned out at Drummoyne Oval to witness the event and cheer as Kipper burst through a large banner captioned "Will play for food".  The hero of the day kicked five goals in the final quarter to seal a comfortable win.

Kipper became the 3rd player to complete the home and away double with his victory at the 2007 Match Play Championship.  He had previously won the World Series of Golf in 2004 and 2008.

The sentence, which contained a noun, transitive verb, adjective and pronoun, an independent clause and a present tense, still managed to convey a very precise meaning.

Waldorf is another player who teed off in both 1989 majors.  And speaking off both majors, Tubby was the first player to complete the home and away double – winning the Match Play Championship in 1990 and, to his and many others great surprise, the World Series of Golf in 2002 – and won both playing right-handed with a left-handed grip.

Tubby served as the club's handicapper from 1989-2002, resigning after rumblings about his comprehensive World Series win.
